Benjamin Harrison served as president from 1889-1893. His inauguration came one hundred years after George Washington. Before becoming president he was a colonel in the Union army during the Civil War. He's the only president from Indiana.

The 23rd President of the United States was Benjamin Harrison. He was born on August 20, 1833 and he died on March 19th, 1901. He only served one term as the President of the United States. He served from 1889 to 1893. There is now a museum dedicated to him located in Indiana.
