It would depend on the kind of looking you are going for. I go by this: Traditional-veil. Modern-none. Either way you will look stunning. It is up to you.

Veils (long) are great for the traditional bride, but if you're stepping out of the box, maybe try an intricate hair style, or perhaps a short veil with a flower.

It depends what kind of wedding YOU envision. Is your wedding elaborate, formal? It this your first marriage? Don't you want the groom to see you in your dress before? Then go for Veil. Or are you more relaxed, fun, casual? Is this more about you then the ceremony? Then forfeit the veil.

I wore my hair down with a beautiful gold necklace laced in my hair. I think it depends on how you want to feel on your day :)

I think the veil is okay for in the church when you might want to cover up a little, but I would take it off for the ceremony. Switch it up with a hair band or a tiara.

It depends on the wedding and the bride. There are some very nice veils that will not cause the hair do to look bad. Go to a wedding store and try on some with your hair styled the way you want it on your wedding day. If you do not find one just go with the hair.

It depends on whether the bride wants to be a traditional bride or not. Traditionally the veil is put over the brides face and is worn at a long length. Just keeping the hair signifies that the bride is modern and personal.
