Which is better - a small block Chevy engine or an amc?

Well generally a Chevrolet small block is the better engine. They are easy to work on and find parts for. They are not that exotic but can make good power.

I know that the small block Chevrolet in the 350cubic inch displacement is one of the most loved engines out there. Amc made several engine over it's life span none of which still are used a lot today. Small block Chevies are plentiful, there are tons of parts available, they are cheap, durable, and can make some very good power.

Well most AMC engine i think were based on a ford block. So between that and a Chevy I would choose the Chevrolet one. The small block Chevy engines is very popular so finding parts is not an issue. There are lots of aftermarket parts designed for them. I think that they are easier to work on also.
