In most jurisdictions tax records are available on line. I would look for the website for the county where you are located. You can also check with the Registrar of deeds, usually located in your local courthouse. Lastly, you can go to a local title company and ask them to do a search for you to determine ownership.

Most states have online websites for their tax appraisal district or property tax assessor office. The owner of the property, whether residential or commercial, is available by searching those sites by the property address.

The appraisal district in the county the house is located will have the owners name and a billing address for the taxes. This is available as a public record.
