Well your car should have the 3. 8l ohv 6 cylinder engine. On this engine the manifold air pressure sensor should be located in the center upper part of the engine. It is mounted on front valve cover bracket. It is kinda of a small sensor and can be easily overlooked. It should protrude into the intake itself.

The sensor is located on the passenger side of the engine in front of the intake manifold (which is the black plastic/composite housing also referred to as the plenum). There are two wires and a little connector leading to it. Pay close attention to while installing and removing of map sensors.

The MAP sensor is another one of those sensors that didn't even exist about twenty years ago, give or take a few decades. Now there are MAP sensors of all kinds in all cars and your is a Buick LeSabre. If I am correct, it is behind the master cylinder and to the left.

The map sensor is located between your air filter and engine. It is a black box or tube with wires coming out of it.

MAP sensors on GM cars are usually located on the intake, near the mass air flow sensor. The sensor is a square box with three wires and a vacuum hose.

A MAP sensor is used in combination with fuel injection. The full form of the map is manifold absolute pressure. It calculates the pressure.
