that question is impossible to answer without the specific video camera you're inquiring about! look for little wide holes about the size of a sesame seed. Presumably, you've already looked around the camera for a little picture of a mic.

An external microphone is connected to the camera by a cable. Assuming you actually meant INTERNAL microphone, look at the front of the camera for something that resembles a speaker. It may be labeled "MIC" or with a microphone symbol.

A normal video camera will not have an external microphone. In order to speak to your computer, you will need to purchase a separate microphone.

What brand of video camera you are using? Because all the video camera does not have external microphone. If you are using a new model of any video camera then there will be no external microphone should be internal only.
