A womans cycle begins on day one of menstruation. Generally most womens cycles are on a twenty-eight day cycle. One cycle is the begining of mestruation to the begining day of your next menstruation. Ovulation is in the middle of your cycle on day fourteen in a fourteen day cycle.

If you have an average, predictable cycle of 28 days, you can assume that you might ovulate at day 14 and menstruate at day 28. Generally speaking, you could assume that you will ovulate two weeks after your period starts. But actually it may vary greatly from person to person.

If you have a normal 28 day cycle, ovulation will come 14 days after the first day of menstruation. Ovulation will last about 2 days. But, this is only if you have a 28 day cycle. It is best to keep a calendar of your cycle to know for sure.
