Many times, local community centers offer conversational Spanish classes for free. If not, they may be able to provide information on where you can find free classes in your community.

Here are options for you to learn Spanish for free: check into the resources available at your local library, like language CD's/DVD's/books; classes through a community international center; there are several websites with free Spanish tutorials and study aids; and check your community for a church with Spanish services as they might be able to provide you with a tutor.

The BBC has a very good, free website for learning several languages, including Spanish. Another way to learn Spanish is to find a Spanish-speaking friend to teach you some basic words and phrases. Also, some colleges have language exchanges where you can sign up for a conversation partner to practice different languages.
