If you don't have a background in training horses, find a trainer to send your miniature to. If you have a training background find a good book (search on Amazon), do an internet search, or Go to the American Miniature Horse Association website. Training for halter and driving is no different than training a standard sized horse

Training miniatures, or minis is just like training full sized horses. Anything that applies to a full sized horse can be applied to training a mini. Just remember, you need the correct equipment. Special halters, lead ropes, circingles longe ropes etc. are made specifically for minis. You must have the right equipment to train correctly.

It's just like training a big horse, except they can be nippy at times. You can purchase books or videos on horse training. Some trainers will come over and help.
