The best place to go for the best prices is on the internet. You could even try a specialty parts store. You can try a junk yard but they won't guarantee it will work properly.

You will to try to find your year and model of car in a junkyard first, that's the cheapest. Aside from that you can always check internet auction websites or search for an online forum about your specific vehicle. Forums almost always have a "for sale" section.

Price is not as important as quality since this device has a major effect on fuel economy. Use a genuine GM ecm as you will save in the long run.

Well for the cheapest ECM you can usually go to your local auto recycler. However like buying anything from a junkyard be sure it is in good shape before buying it, especially electronics.
