When is an mputation on a toe necessary?

An amputation is necessary when the actual body part is compromised from a vascular point of view. For example, diabetics that don`t use treatment (diabetic leg) or severe frostbite.

Amputation of a toe is necessary when blood supply to the toe can not be reestablished or when the toe can not be repaired after trauma.

An amputation of a toe is necessary after a severe injury to the toe and the blood vessels were severely affected and not functioning at all. Also during osteogenic sarcoma, the bone of the toe is affected in which there is a malignant tumor and treatment would be amputation
