A puppy stays with the mother for as long as it takes to be weaned at a natural pace and learn how to act around other dogs.

Puppies should be at least 6 weeks old and eating solid food. Puppies that are kept with their litter untill 8 weeks will have less separation issues with their new family. Most puppies will actually be older 10-12 weeks and have the best transition. These puppies will be more mature and transion well.

puppies should be stayed with mother for atleast 7 weeks. beacuse they need mother milk and it help to prevent the diseases and help to improve their health considerably. It learns the manner and habits from mother. so puppies will not separate before 7 to 8 weeks.

When they are about six to eight weeks old, they must be eatting on their own and able to get around without their Momma. You should always check out the people you plan to give the puppies to some people think they want one and change theirs minds later.

In general, puppies should be separated from their mother when they are no less than 8 months old (8 to 12 months is considered the optimal time).

The puppies will not open their eyes atleast for 10 to 20 days. Moreover the mother dog will be in a watch to safeguard its puppies. The mother has to feed the puppies otherwise the mother will have problem. So better to seperate the puppies when they can move without their mother's help.May be 50 days or so.
