Make sure that there aren't larger fish in the tank to eat them. Also, put some porous foam around the filter intake or they will be sucked in.

You can release the guppy fry into the larger tank just as soon as it is too large to be eaten by the other fish in the tank. There is no way to speed up the process - just be patient.

Only if you want to feed them to the other fish in the tank. Everybody will see the little guys as food. You need to move them to an isolated part of the tank or to another tank altogether if you want them to survive. Even the other guppies will eat them.

To release a guppy fry, or any other small fish, into a community tank the fish must be large enough that it no longer looks like food to the other fish in the tank. It must be too big to fit into the mouth of the largest fish in the tank.

This depends on what other fish are in the tank. If your tank only has small guppy size fish in it you can safely introduce young fry into the tank when they reach one half an inch or larger. Be patient.
