It is best to let the dogs tie once in a 24 hour period and allow 24 hours after that tie for the males sperm to build back up. It CAN happen more but it is better to tie 3-4 times in 3-4 days.

If you let them free breed they will mate as often as the male has the energy for. If you are controling the breedings then normally you limit breeding to once a day for three breedings in a row or for three breedings done every other day. This maximizes chances of mature sperm being available at time of ovulation.

Dogs tie as many as four times per day. When the female is in heat or ready, she will allow the male or other male dogs to tie up to four times per day. She will do this for three to four days.

A dog will tie from 2 - 30 mins once they seperate it is good to allow them at least 24hrs to allow the males sperm to build up again.

It varies. I have never heard of a dog tying more than once or twice in the same session. Some dogs don't tie at all. There are many factors.

A tie is the natural phenomenon of dog breeding the male penins swells inside the female vagina. It locks for 15 to 20 minutes during which the ejaculation takes place. The sperm will be released at the beginning of the tie. During the tie it release the protactic fluid. Almost every dog will have sperms for one year continuously.

Most likely they will connect each time they mate, this can be avoided by insemination but it is CRUCIAl to NOT BREAK them apart, this may cause severe trauma to bitch and encourage stud to refuse any future breeding. If you are not comfortable with the tying period,I suggest insemination through an approved vet.

They usually tie once per breeding session, but they stay tied for quite a while, sometimes up to a half hour.

It obviously depends on the dogs and the situation. A tie can take an hour. I would say once a week.

As many times as it takes for her to go out of heat and if it is still happening she is still in heat wich usually means she isn't bread yet.
