It depends on the couple. I would say that taking her to some place that has a lot of meaning to you would be a good place to propose. I wouldn't worry about doing anything too flashy. I think the best proposals come from the heart. For me it was about being with the man I love.

From my experience; we both went on a boat ride. While she was under taking a nap I laid down rose pedals from the bottom deck to upstairs on the front deck with a beautiful song playing. When I heard her coming up, I got on one knee and proposed.
