What's a good recipe for a loaf of bread?

I like sourdough the best.

Basic bread: 1 tsp instant dry yeast 1 cup room temperature water 1 tsp salt about 5-6 cups bread flour (or more) Mix; then work dough with floured hands until smooth and elastic (and as tacky as a post-it), about 15-25 minutes. Let rise in greased pan until doubled, and bake 20 minutes at 410F. (Sourdoughs require starter cultures.)

Combine 3 c flour, baking powder, 1 t salt with wire whisk. Stir in sugar. Make a well in the another bowl combine 2 eggs,1 c evap milk, 1/2 c melted,cooled butter.Pour into well.Mix until just combined.Cook in preheated oven to 350 deg F for 50 mins. Cool, serve.
