Try swimming. The water makes you more bouyant so it's easier on your joints. Cycling is also a good option. You want to avoid running or aerobics because they are considered to be high-impact and hard on your joints. Walking may be a good option for you though- start with 20 minutes a day.

Swimming is a good low impact exercise. Since you are moving through the water, you are not pounding on any of your muscles.

One of the best low-impact exercises out there is weight training. Depending on if you have an injury, avoid stressing that part of the body, but find good weight training exercises to get yourself into shape. Another good option is punches - this can get your heart rate up while not stressing your body.
