What would you recommend as a dry-wet carpet pad?

I would consult the company from which I bought the carpet for the most durable, ecological pad that won't release toxins such as formaldehyde. I would keep in mind such things as humidity, wear, ease of installation/disinstallation, cleaning, and if you have pets. I would ask for it to be included in my carpet installation.

IF you have carpets at home, it should be completely dry one. Where , kids are at home, there are are chances of dropping milk, water etc. , it should be completely dry, otherwise will give out diry smell. If possible, and the carpets are removable, should be dried up in the sun, if Not, there are solutions available.
