It will dehydrate the lawn and kill it in whatever spot it touches. It also will typically spread a little further around the area with a light brown color.

Epson Salt (magnesium sulfate) is vital for lawn growth and to safely get rid of plant pests. Magnesium strengthens the lawns allowing it to get the nutrients it needs.

Epsom salt makes grass greener by adding magnesium and iron to the soil. Mix 2 tablespoons per gallon of water. Apply to lawn then water your lawn until its soaked.

Salt will kill your lawn! Some people use salt selectively to kill weeds, in fact. Salt sucks up water and starves whatever plant you put it on of moisture. It's actually great to sprinkle around to kill weeds on patio stones. But salt on your lawn will kill your lawn!

Epsom salt will not harm your lawn if used in low ammounts. It should help the lawn if used in low doses, but will kill beneficial fungi if over used.
