What wall colors would look good with white trim and neutral-toned furniture?

I'd like to get a new look by just painting.

To find a good palette of colors to use go to your local home improvement store. There you will find paint color cards already grouped together attractively, often with a picture of a room painted with those colors. With neutral furniture, you have a wide range of options for colors.

The first thing to consider when looking for a paint color is, are there any slight colors that are in the furniture or rug? Sometimes when there is a neutral pallet there is a tiny fleck of color that you can use for your walls.Olive and slate work great.

Neutral toned wall paint would look good, but you could also try something a bit more shocking. A nicely placed red wall in the room would provide a good contrast between the colors of your furniture and the color of the paint. A shade of blue would be pretty, also.

I love the use of pale blue or lavender with neutral furniture. It goes well with wood and has a calming tone. I could also use antique or pale pink.

To give the room a warm feeling shades of yellow would go nicely. Or to cool down the room's feel go with shades of blue. Both would fit nicely.

Foot wide stripes of dark honey and pistachio green or a sea-foam green with golden trim along the edges sounds nice.

With white trim and neutral toned furniture I believe there are about three considerably reasonable options. Option one a very light sky blue color applied with a sponging technique. Option two a light olive green color with a neutral-toned paint for a vine border. Option three a light red wine color with sort of a white mist air brush color.
