In children it's not always wise to prescribe glasses since they are still developing, unless they have trouble seeing to do daily tasks. In adults anything worse than 20/30 could benefit from glasses. Newsprint is written at 20/40.

Nearsighted people will need to have glasses that correct for things that are far away. Farsighted people will need some sort of reading glasses or bifocals possibly. People with astigmatisms will need special lenses that will twist the light so that the lens can focus on objects.

Vision that is past 50/20 needs glasses. From children in school to adults at work needs glasses. for example, if you go to a store and you cannot see the categories (although not many people do this),how would you know if the aisle holds the product? Glasses are important to many people.

Normally humans can adapt to poor vision very well without ever realizing that medically their vision is subpar. Newsprint is written at print which is comfortable for reading at 20/40. Many people will forgo eye exams for many years without complaint. 20/30 vision or worse in adults normally is a good measuring stick in deciding on using glasses.

Any type of nearsightedness (myopia) or farsightedness (hyperopia), to my knowledge, can be corrected with glasses. The type of glasses just differs between the two conditions. are Basically, since they are problems with focus in the eye, each type of glasses must have a different level of focus, to counteract the imperfections in vision.

If you don't have perfect vision you may be required to get a prescription eye glasses. You must get an eye test. Perfect vision is twenty twenty vision. If your eyes are not perfect it could lessen the way you see things. A prescription will enhance the way you view your surroundings.
