For a sunny Tuscany feel in your home, use warm gold and olive with splashes of burgandy. Choose the gold or olive and paint one shade in the living room and then go a shade deeper in the dining room. This will tie the two rooms together. Use a warm creamy white for your trim for a crisp finish.

Tuscan colors are earth tones, so warm shades of yellow, green or brown would all be peaceful and inviting for a living and dining area.

When decorating your Southwest home, I have found that the soft pastel colors in pink, green and turquoise blue fit in beautifully with the desert landscape of cactus and the abundant blue skies of Tucson. A harmonious blending of patterns and solids in those colors will most definitely bring the peaceful, easily living feeling of the desert into your home.
