Changing racquet and stroke mechanics, anti-inflammatory medications, Cortisone (a steroid) injections, an elbow brace or surgery if these do not work.

To me, you shouldn't go to a doctor as they tend to treath the symptom but not the cause of the problem. Usually the cause of a tennis elbow is a pinched nerve in the cervical column. So you should see a good chiropractor.

tennis elbows or lateral epicondylitis can be treated by therapeautic ultrasound, stretching, and strengthening. One can stretch by extending the elbow and flexing the wrist for 60 counts. After which the wrist extensors are to strengthened. Prior to stretching, one can use hot moist pack or ulrasound to relax the muscles

Rest is really the only treatment as it is the result of an over use injury. After it has healed you should see your physiotherapist to do strengthing exercises to prevent its reoccurance. I have never seen any evidence behind spints or other elbow deviced to wear while you play.

Ice packs can be put on the affected area. Resting the arm prevents further injury. Physical therapy helps get range of motion back. Steroid injections relieve serious pain.

The best ways to treat tennis elbow are to rest it, then ice it to reduce the swelling. Then use a compression wrap to further reduce aggravation to the area.
