If you are looking to sell your home in the near future, your resale value will be improved by keeping the permanent features on the neutral side. Prospective buyers tend to look for bathrooms that are easy to alter to suit their style, so keeping things like the tub, tile and fixtures clean and classic is a good idea.

If you have wallpaper remove it. I suggest you paint it a new color because a fresh coat of paint can make a lot of difference. You might want to replace your faucet and hot and cold water taps to a more modern version. Lastly, hang some pictures that suit your style.

New accessories always brighten things up. I would go with ceramic on the floor, increases value more then anything else. You could also consider using a green sheet rock or something with a water shield.

The first thing you need to decide is the color theme you will dedicate to your bathrooms. Then when you know the color you want, you need to find the rugs/show curtain/ window shades you would like, followed by appliances.

Start off by doing small updates rather then updating major portions of the bathroom. Try new shower curtains, rugs, towels, and storage methods. Then consider renovating furniture.

If your bathroom is attached to your bedroom, then you can install a glass blocks or translucent glass between them, this makes your bed room and bath room very romantic.
