The most important thing is to go there with a very open mind when it comes to different food. Also walk around and look at everything, there will be a lot to eat. Also, go there with a clean pallet, as you will find plenty to sample and eat.

From what I have heard from people the Taste should be avoided. It has food that is non edible and would be a horrible place to go. It is too expensive for the price of the food. Avoiding it would be the best option for anyone considering going to go to the Taste.

The event has gotten more unsafe each year, with petty crime on the rise. Young hooligans from the South Side hang out there, so you have to be careful.

The Taste gets extremely crowded on the weekends, especially in the afternoon and early evenings. Use public transportation to get there, and try to go early in the day.

The event is full of fun and adventure. It is outdoors where you have music and lots of fun. It has a historical side. You can eat various types of food, listen to music, play games and explore the original culture of the area. Where else can you have so much fun at a festival for free.

Tips to consider when going to the Taste of Chicago would be first and foremost to wear comfortable shoes and try to find any kind of discount for the tickets.

Don't carry anything of value with you. You will want to have a very secure place to keep your money. If you are a woman don't carry a purse. It will be hot in the sunlight so be sure to dress accordingly and use plenty of sunscreen. Be sure to have plenty of water with you too.
