We generally load our tacos up with a ton of chili powder, black pepper, and salt. Cook the ground beef and add the spices in the pan with the meat as it's cooking, and you'll definitely be able to smell "tacos," then chop up some fresh onion and cilantro.

I season the meat as I brown it with chili powder (a teaspoon or more, depending on how hot you like it) and a similar amount of cumin plus regular black pepper and a bit of salt - and two or three finely chopped cloves of garlic.

There are many different taco seasonings to use. An all in one taco seasoning pack like Old El Paso brand is an option, found at the local grocery. Also, minced onion, salt, chili powder, cornstarch, crushed red peppers, garlic powder, oregano, and ground cumin can be combined to season tacos.
