They share a common colonial history, which ended in the Mau Mau rebellion of 1952. However, English remains an official language, and most Kenyans have kept the Protestant faith. Today, Brits love to spend their holidays in Kenya, while Britain is one of the few European countries where you can get that excellent Kenyan tea (which is viciously strong).

Kenya and Britain may forever be intertwined due to the 70 years of British colonial rule Kenya experienced. Colonial rule took land and political control from Africans and independence has sometimes been a struggle with the UK giving economic and political instruction and support. Both are not always easily accepted.
