As long as its under 104 degrees, just keep him drinking. Tylenol can help reduce the fever. If the fever breaks 104, get to a doctor.

Fever can be treated with aspirin to bring down the fever. In addition to the aspirin the toddler needs lots of fluids so they do not get dehydrated. The more they sweat or vomit the more fluids they will need. A sponge bath with alcohol or a bath of lukewarm water can help bring the body temperature down.

Look for a fussy child. If your child feels warm, take his/her temperature. If it is below 100 degrees F, give him/her some children's Tylenol to reduce the fever and schedule an appointment with your doctor. If it is above 100 degrees F, you should get your child medical care immediately (still do Tylenol).

If the fever is low, nothing needs to be done. If the fever is high, you can treat with medication, lukewarm sponging and dressing the child lightly.

When a toddler has a fever you can give them a lukewarm bath or if the toddler is too sick then bathe their forehead with a damp, lukewarm cloth.
