Well computer administrators would benefit from having their degree in computer science. That is usually the first but not necessarily the last step. The next thing is you have to know all of the C++ and working in cad and other programs which will show that you know the job.

one advancement for computer network administrator will be to attend conferences or product endorsement of IT companies or suppliers, that is one way of updating yourself of the latest technology. attending trade fair can also increase your knowledge on your job. taking certifications can also advance your skills. Reading magazines related to network is good too.
