If you intend to run direct-burial wiring such as UF cable make sure your trench is at the minimum eighteen inches (18") deep as this provides for protection from most subsequent digging.

Use undergroundcables for running electricalwire. Dig pit 1meter below the surface. Place the underground cable over it, topped with one row of brick followed by sand for 30cm and soil with salt.

Depending upon the voltage you need to consider the depth at which the wiring is installed and whether or not conduit or direct burial cable is being used.

You will want to make sure the wire is the proper gauge and able to withstand weathering. If you go to your hardware store and ask they will direct you.

The most important thing is to use wire rated to be run underground, or you can run it in PVC conduit.

The best way is to run the wire through a pipe (conduit) and bury it at least two feet underground. The conduit should run from the electrical box to wherever it needs to go. It is also best to use wire that is made to be put underground. I think it is UGF electrical wire.

While taking electrical wire underground first all you should the earth sufficiently deep so that it will not get disturbed while diging earth for any other purpose. Use best quality wire and insert inside the cable and lay. Ensure no other wires are passing or crosing through your proposed wire.
