The dirt accumulated on your off-road incursions may clog up your radiator with brown sludge. Clean it out after every outing to ensure the richest possible air to fuel mix.

Depending on how old your Jeep is and if it has been seviced reguluary, then the most like cause of brown sludge is old antifreeze solution in the radiator. It can also be a sign the your radiator is not cooling properly and may be breaking down in side with rust. Maintence is the key word here.

Well it may be just sediment from year of use or it could be oil from a cracked block. Try thoroughly flushing the radiator out and see if it comes back. If so then it is likely that the is some type of crack in the block or head. You will have to go inside to find out.

if you have brown sludge in your radiator it means something other than anti freeze is in there like your oil is mixing with your anti freeze and it will make your car run hotter
