This evaluation is relaxed and pressure free. The doctor evaluating you will ask basic questions. Such as who is the President of the United States and what year is it.

With Alzheimer's disease the patient is progressively experiencing memory loss, meaning the patient's day-to-day activity is affected by the condition. Mood swings and decline of senses are also noted.

An initial evaluation simply consists of a history and physical examination. The latter includes some memory and concentration questions to assess mental status.
