I have always fed all of my puppies Kibblle select and they have always done very well on it it is a totally balanced diet and they tend not to over eat it either becaus it has no powdered milk on or in it. And it doesn't make them throw up either.

Having just got a puppy myself, and talking to many people in the pet industry, the first thing I would tell you is to read the ingredients on the labels. They are written in ingredient order. The one with the highest protein content are Blue Buffalo brand. The LAMB & RICE's first ingredient is deboned lamb, and smells like lamb.

A growing puppy needs lots of protein and calories. There are some very good holistic/natural foods on the market. These types of foods tend to have no "filler" or by-products and provide what your growing bundle fur needs for a healthy puppyhood.

Choose a high quality food that doesn't contain any corn. Almost all brands you can buy at a grocery store have corn in them, and corn is terrible for dogs. Also make sure you feed a puppy food or a food designed for all life stages. When puppies are younger they should also be free fed.

you can only feed your puppy three times a day. 1 1/2 cups each time. Don't feed human food to dogs. Give them snack too in-between.
