Call a mechanic, either a dealer certified or a trusted local mechanic will suffice but this is a repair beyond most garage mechanics abilities.

You should get a cable that is made to length to fit into your transmission. As the cable will stretch over time you will want to adjust the connector arms to allow for the shorter distance of the new cable.

you need to check with the dealership and order a new shifter cable. it may be easier for the dealer to do these repairs.
