If your mantle clock will not run, I would check the inside of the clock and see if the battery is still working with the clock. This is one of the more common problem with mantle clocks. I would check to see if everything is clean inside in order to avoid motor problems.

First, check that it does not need to be wound or a battery replaced. Then, take it to a reputable clock or watch repair center.

If your mantle clock won't run a repair shop that specialises in repairing watches can usually troubleshoot the issue. Clocks are mechanical and do wear out. It may be as simple as replacing a battery.

The first thing I would do is see if it uses batteries to run. If it does run on batteries change the batteries. If it does not, you have two options. The first is to find a place that repairs mantle clocks. The other is to go buy a new clock.

There are plenty of ways to check to see if your mantle clock won't run. One thing to check is the motor to see if there is something inside of the mantle clock. I would also check the battery or plug to see if they are frayed or the batteries are dead.

If your mantle clock doesn't run, first you should check the battery. Try replacing the battery or batteries with a new one.

If your mantle clock will not run you always have the option of having a professional clock repair person take a look at and see if it can be repaired or you can just sit back and take comfort in the fact that the time is right twice each day.
