What should I do if I find a baby bird that has fallen out of its nest?

If you can't locate the nest, KEEP IT WARM. Baby birds WILL die without heat, seeing as they aren't born with feathers. Go to your local pet store and ask for hatchling formula, they can show you how to administer it.

Reasonable efforts should be taken to save the bird, such as replacing it in its nest. If this is too difficult, you're not obligated to do anything else.

If it's trying to fly, leave it alone. If not, return it to the nest. Mother bird won't know; her sense of smell is weaker than ours.
