What should I do if I cannot get my old rusted bathtub drain out?

I have had this happen to me, what I did was get some liquid wrench or another rust remover and let it sit for about two hours. After that it come out without a hitch.

Insert the handles on a pair of pliers into the drain, past the drain's metal cross-hairs. Use a heavy duty screw driver as a lever between the handles of the pliers. You'll need a bit of pressure to break the seal, but once free it should turn easily.

Call plumber. Stop inlet for bath tub. Remove all outlet connections of tub. Clean and remake of bath tub. Check and clean all outlets. Replace the outlet material if required.
