What should I do for my Jeep with an oil leak?

If it is the oil gasket or valve cover gasket then you can probably do it yourself. If it's a mainseal then you can expect to take it in.

Clean the suspect area throughly. Do a visual inspection to determine what is leaking. If you can't find it visually then get some diagnostic dye for oil and an infrared light, they come in a kit. Install dye, get engine up to normal temp and inspect with light.

The most cost effective thing to do, before taking it to a mechanic, is to try running oil stop leak through the engine. You can buy it at Autozone. Pour it into your engine, and run the car for the recommended period of time in the directions to heat it.

if the oil is leaking from chamber then open the nut and close with applying silicon if the oil is leaking because of exceding then take out some oil from chamber
