Depending on the issue that your guinea pig is having there are a variety of things you can do. To keep a guinea pig's digestive tract healthy plenty of timothy hay should be provided daily along with a good quality pellet, and vit. c in the form of vegetables is best. Acidophilus powder can be sprinkled on their food to increase the good gut bacteria.

Take your pig to a vet for a check up - bowel problems can be fatal if not treated ASAP. Also make sure you are feeding the guinea pig properly (1/4 cup oxbow pellets per day plus unlimited timothy/orchard grass hay and 1 cup of vegetables - lettuce, peppers, tomato, cucumbers, parsley, coriander, carrots etc) and supplementing with vitamin c.

Without knowing what the problem is, I would suggest changing your guinea pig's diet. Give your pig pellets just for guinea pigs and add some carrots, turnip greens or other dark leafy greens. Stay away from iceberg lettuce, if there are still problems then take your pig to the vet.

Perhaps you need to consider a change in diet for your guinea pig, if they do not receive enough fiber in their diet sometimes there can be complications. They need to have pellets that contain VitaminC/ Asorbic acid, fresh vegetables-lettuce is one as well as alfalfa or grass hay.

It depends on what type of problems it's experiencing. My guinea pig had constipation, and the vet told my to put mineral oil on the food to get things moving.

There is not enough information to know what to do for guinea pig's problem if this is something that is on going and you are worried about this contact a vet in your area they may can tell you what to do over the phone or they may want you to bring it in. I hope this helps.
