Limit bending, twisting and lifting. Rest. Ice, heat, and topical creams help. Ibuprofen for pain and inflammation. A spinal specialist may need to be consulted, depending on the severity.

I think you have disk prolapse and hence there is protrusion of the disc's, these spinal bones must be treated with Traction by an recommended physical therapist. Manual traction can also be given.
