A nodule is a small round shadow that shows up on a scan. It can be caused by a number of things - inflammation, bacteria, or tumors. Because two of these may be temporary, it may be wise to schedule another test in a while.

Yes, you should have another scan in 3 months, to check if the nodule is stable or there are differences in its shape or dimension. Meanwhile you'd better have complete blood test and eventually consider to get a PET scan, if blood test is alterated.

Talk to your doctor first before having anything done. Ask him if it is best to have a second scan at a future date to gage the density for growth, or whether it would be better to have a biopsy done right away. Then get a second opinion.

Yes you should get another scan if you would like a second opinion. This way you will be more informed on the condition by getting feedback from two different sources. It is good to have as much information about an ailment before making a definite decision. The more you know the better.

The nodular density needs immediate attention by a specialist doctor - a lung specialist. This could be a pneumonia or a fungal ball. Another major concern is whether this is a malignancy. Both primary lung cancer and secondaries in the lung can be a nodular opacity.
