8 month olds can eat pretty mush any people foods she likes. You probably should either buy baby food, or make sure it is pureed or mashed up good, like mashed potatoes. From a nutritional standpoint you may want to buy whole natural foods and a food processor to prepare it yourself.

Infant formula for your baby is suitable for babies who no feed on the breast. The breast has many nutrient and so you should try to give the child those vitamins, in the food consumed. Natural fruit juices (especially homemade) should be given to the child.Processed foods such as Gerber are also suitable.

There is a very set order of the introducation of food that your doctor can provide you with. You start of with baby cereal that is fortified with iron. Vegtables and fruits are next but introduced slowly at about 1 per week. Things like eggs and nuts are avoided during the first year.

Things like baby porridge would be good to introduce to her now. Or food which has been mushed up for easy digestion.
