What scientific investigation takes place regarding a Catholic miracle?

I know there is a lot of investigation before a miracle is certified but how much of it is scientific?

Im not totaly positive but, iv been led to understand it takes exstensive investigaition and "proof". The proof is in this case in the eye of the beholder. Im sure many things get nominated to be seen as miracles, but, are accepted.

They determine what rational, non-religious reasons there would be for the miracle. It's only a miracle if there is no other explanation. For example, if someone was sick and receiving medicine, could the medicine be the cure? Or was the prognosis so grim that they had no significant chance for survival without the miracle?

The scientific result is that miracles comes up by the course of other things. Forces cause a change to take place.
