Corn pollen travels for subtantial distances so your crop can be comtaminated by other people's plantings Because of genetic copyrights this transfer of DNA could have you end up with plants owned by other people, or with you substantially fined. See who grows corn in your area.

Corn requires a large planting area to have any chances at success. Corn must be cross-pollinated in order to bear fruit (in plain english, to make corn). 100 square feet is a good starting point for a family of four. Beware of pests, especially deer. They will terrorize your fields!
