I would use darker rich textures such as a tree trunk brown or even a mild black color. This will make the colors of the floors appear very vibrant.

Bold colors are a statement of power. The colors red and orange are the best when bringing out the richness of hardwood floors. I would also try some brown hues along with the terra cotta.

The color of the wood would probably be most complimented by a deep reddish-brown or even a dark hunter green. Many would say that nearly any color would suit however.

Ancient mahogany wooden floors offer many rich, vibrant brown and reddish undertones. Consequently, paint that would complement and not detract from their impact might include (but would certainly not be limited to) shades of whites, off-whites, yellows or warm ambers.
