Some examples of second degree felonies are aggravated assault, arson, robbery, kidnapping, drug trafficking, sexual assault, manslaughter/intoxicated manslaughter, bribery, evading arrest, theft or criminal mischief of $20,000.00 or more and indecency with a child by sexual contact. Each state determines the imprisonment times and classification of the felony degree for these crimes.

Crimes that fall under "second degree felony" include intentional crimes like assault, arson, robbery and kidnapping. But the degree is determined by the state which the crime occurred.
