Weeping mulberry likes a wide range of soils. If your soil is sandy, add some organic material when you plant it, about 1/3 compost and 2/3 backfill will add water-holding capacity. Mulberries also like to be mulched, so add 3-4 inches of bark or wood chips over the root zone when you plant.
