What kind of old magazines have increased in value?

I don't want to hang on to these old magazines anymore if they're not getting more valuable.

Any magazines that have movie stars in them especially if the stars have passed on. Old magazines that pertain to any kind of handicraft such as knitting, crocheting and the like will be valuable later on. Any sports type of magazines that have pictures and interviews with stars and especially if they contain any trading cards in them.

First editions of magazines are very valuable- Apparently some well maintained first editions of Playboy, featuring Marilyn Monroe, sold for $5000. HIf the cover model becomes especially famous, the magazine could increase in value. Make sure you keep the magazines in very good condition...

The value of old magazines is determined by the content and the condition. Like baseball cards, a Babe Ruth rookie card is much more valuable than a rookie card for a player who never did anything.

Magazines that have increased in value include early edition (especially first edition) comics, rare comics, and print magazines that include a watershed event (9-11-2001, Obama's election, Pearl Harbor bombing).

Old magazines like Playboy have definitely increased in value. Past issues are now collectors items. The older they are, the more they are worth. Also, old National Geographic issues are worth more too, but definitely not as much as old Playboy issues.

There is no real way to say which one will be value. But, a good way to know is if there is something that made history in them. Something that was out of the normal. Has some picture of someone famous that has died, or of something that has never happened before in time or space.
