What kind of nuclear bomb testing does the USA do on a regular basis?

I think they do testing on a regular basis. The government does have nuclear weapons and have to do scenario testing with the troops that may have to deal with it. They also have to test the equipment regarding it leaking radiation and making sure it is functional.

The United States no longer tests megaton warheads as were used in World War 2 - their newer designs are tested entirely by simulation. Nuclear tipped missiles are still test fired from ships into test ranges in the Pacific Ocean to ensure those systems work correctly in event of a war.
