You could get into social work or similar government work. You could possibly get into a law enforcement program or work as a public liaison with the police force. There are usually openings in the criminal justice system from victim advocates to someone who works with prisoners. It is possible you could work in some schools as a school counselor.

The job one can definitely obtain with a socialgy degree would be in social work (family counseling, juvenile counseling and marriage counseling). There is also psycho-therapy (like a psychiatrist without the MD degree). Other jobs to obtain would be as remedial teachers, special education and elementary teachers, also human resources.
